Grants and Scholarships
Are You a Minnesota-Based Youth Program?
The Säjai Foundation is awarding scholarships towards any Wise Kids® program kit to Minnesota-based organizations with an afterschool or summer camp program. Kit choices include Wise Kids, a 9-lesson program which teaches children to make healthy nutrition and activity choices, or Wise Kids Outdoors, a 20-lesson program that teaches kids about environmental stewardship, nature, and keeping themselves healthy. These turnkey programs provide your staff with all the training, tools, activities, and materials needed to implement a fun and exciting program. Recipients choose either a small kit for 30 kids ($500 value) or large kit for 100 kids ($1,150 value.) A nominal agency fee (maximum $100) and shipping cost will be required to receive the award kit. Five kits will be awarded in total. The application deadline is February 29, 2012. Finding Grants
The Säjai Foundation knows how critical grant funding is. Our Foundation doesn’t give grants, but occasionally has scholarships to offset the cost of our program. Keep an eye on this page, or our News/Blog page, for scholarship announcements.
We’ve also compiled a list of top ten grantmakers by state which fund programs like the Wise Kids programs. To find the grantmakers in your state, check out the alphabetical list of states below. Where available, we’ve included website links or phone numbers, but some foundations are private and would need to be contacted by mail. In those cases, the addresses are included.
